Bodegas Olcaviana was founded in 1994 by the Ruiz family, a family with a long history in winemaking, and represented in the 20th century by Tomás Ruiz (1900-1983), a well known vine grower and winemaker.
The winery premises is a typical building from La Mancha area and is surrounded by 70 hectares of vineyards. It is located in an ideal wine making area with limestone soils and a continental, Mediterranean weather, composing of harsh winters and very hot summers, a climate which sparks off metabolic changes in the grape. The perfect soil conditions, together with new up to date wine making systems bring out the best of the wine.
Aromatic, well rounded wines are produced from our carefully selected wine varieties, such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscatel, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Viognier and Gewurztraminer...
